“New leaders are the lifeblood of the association and we are fortunate to have so many qualified professionals who are eager to participate in shaping the equipment and event rental industry,” said Tony Conant, ARA CEO. “The 2018 election marked the first time ARA utilized an electronic voting process, and it resulted in record voter participation. The annual election is a critical process for moving the association forward and ensuring that ARA remains a member-driven organization.”
Blackmer, the new president-elect, is the president of Aspen Rent-All, which has one location in Basalt, Colorado, about 20 miles from Aspen. She is the second-generation sole owner of the business and oversees all operations. Aspen Rent-All has been an ARA member since 1968 and has inventory of 55% construction and 45% general tool.
“I will be a voice for the ARA and advocate for our growth, professionalism and bright future,” Blackmer said. “I want to continue to get that message out about who we are and that we are here to help each other.”
Current President-elect John Bibbo, CERP, will assume the office of president at The ARA Show.
