AWP Safety has appointed Michelle Marsh as senior vice president of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
She will lead the company’s safety program, using technology and data analytics to improve safety performance.
Marsh has 25 years of experience in EHS leadership.
She previously served as vice president of safety and health at American Electric Power (AEP) where she oversaw a team of 160 safety professionals and managed safety programs for more than 30,000 employees and contractors across 11 states.
At AEP, Marsh helped improve serious injury and fatality metrics and led efforts in contractor safety, Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance and risk reduction.
Marsh holds a Master of Science in occupational hygiene and occupational safety and a Bachelor of Science in secondary education from West Virginia University.
AWP Safety has more than 7,800 employees managing over 1 million work zones annually.
