Flux Power Appoints Kelly Frey as Chief Revenue Officer

Flux Power Holdings, Inc., a provider of advanced lithium-ion energy storage solutions, has appointed Kelly Frey as chief revenue officer (CRO).

Frey replaces Tod Kilgore, who is set to retire on Jan. 31, 2025. Kilgore will remain with the company in a consulting role to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Kelly Frey joins Flux Power with more than two decades of global sales and marketing leadership experience spanning industries such as battery energy storage, SaaS industrial applications and IoT solutions.

His track record includes roles in startups and Fortune 100 companies, with expertise in building high-performance sales teams, driving revenue growth and fostering a culture of accountability through disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.

Frey has worked in both public and private equity-backed organizations, gaining extensive channel experience with original equipment manufacturers, resellers and distributors.

Prior to joining Flux Power, Frey held prominent positions at Fluence Energy in renewable energy, Descartes Systems Group in transportation and logistics, Verizon/Telogis in telematics and OnX in enterprise sales.

His approach focuses on understanding customer needs, fostering strong relationships and advancing opportunities through all engagement stages.

“On behalf of our board and management team, I would like to welcome Kelly as our Chief Revenue Officer, and we are privileged to have someone of his caliber and experience as our CRO,” Ron Dutt, Flux Power CEO said.

“Kelly will be responsible for overseeing and driving our revenue generation strategies, aligning sales, marketing and pipeline management to ensure cohesive and effective growth. He will focus on sales, price optimization, expanding our market reach and improving customer retention, playing a key leadership role in maximizing revenue potential and sustaining long-term growth.”

“I would like to thank Tod for successfully acquiring and maintaining long-term customers to advance our business from startup to Fortune 500 customers. Tod has committed to a successful transition of sales leadership, particularly with our core customer base,” Dutt added.

“I am excited to be appointed as CRO for our next phase of business growth with a pipeline of orders and new customer opportunities combined with cash profitability improvement initiatives,” Frey said.

“I look forward to working with Ron, the senior leadership team and our sales and marketing team as we continue to execute on our strategic and financial priorities, and our commitment to all shareholders.”
