Hiab Secures Major US Orders for MOFFETT Forklifts and HIAB Cranes

Hiab, a part of Cargotec, has received substantial orders for its MOFFETT truck-mounted forklifts and Hiab loader cranes from U.S. customers.

Two major home improvement companies placed orders totaling approximately $21.3 million, while a roofing and building material distributor ordered equipment valued at $6.4 million. These orders were confirmed in Q4 2024, with deliveries set to begin in 2025.

The MOFFETT M8 NX truck-mounted forklifts, included in the orders, offer a lifting capacity of up to 7,700 pounds. These forklifts are engineered for safe and efficient transport of heavy loads across uneven terrain, while their compact design allows for easy mounting on most trucks or trailers. The M8 NX can be equipped with features like 4-way steering to navigate tight spaces and carry long materials with ease.

“We are happy to once again deliver on the needs of three of our long-standing partners in the home improvement segment in the U.S.," Bryan Rupert, business line director, MOFFETT Truck Mounted Forklifts, Hiab USA said.

"MOFFETT has been a preferred product for its versatility and applications in all kinds of different scenarios related to home improvement projects, among others. Our technology integrations, enhanced safety features and improved ergonomic design continue to provide best-in-class options for our customers,” he added.

Additionally, the orders include HIAB loader cranes, primarily the K-HiPro 425 model, featuring advanced remote-controlled systems for enhanced precision and safety. The cranes, ranging from 66,000 pounds to 220,000 foot-pounds, are designed to handle demanding construction and industrial applications.

“Hiab's long-standing partnership with all three customers highlights our deep understanding of their needs in the U.S. market. The established relationship provides a strong foundation for future collaboration and growth,” Pauliina Kunvik, senior vice president of sales and services for North America at Hiab said.
