JLG Industries, Inc., part of Oshkosh Corporation, has finalized its acquisition of AUSA, a leader in compact all-terrain machinery. This move further strengthens JLG’s Access segment and accelerates its growth strategy following the acquisition of Hinowa in 2023.
Founded in 1956, AUSA is renowned for its wheeled dumpers, rough terrain forklifts and compact telehandlers used in construction, transportation, and material handling. The acquisition includes AUSA’s 250,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Barcelona, Spain, and its team of approximately 350 employees, along with access to 200 global equipment dealers.
“AUSA’s culture of innovation and quality matches the same standards we hold,” Mahesh Narang, president, JLG, said, “and our shared core values around safety, productivity and sustainability position us well for the future. Together, we will work diligently, as both companies always have, to meet the needs of our customers.”
The merger of AUSA and JLG’s capabilities is expected to provide a more comprehensive suite of products and services, expanding JLG’s footprint in specialty equipment, agriculture and landscaping markets while strengthening its support and service infrastructure.
“Our combined capabilities, market leadership positions and complementary product offerings provide a more comprehensive solution to address market needs, expand our operational footprint and unlock growth opportunities worldwide,” Narang concluded. “The acquisitions of AUSA and Hinowa help JLG create an organization that can better serve customers globally.”
