Merlo’s skid-steer adapter lets a telehandler use the wide variety of specialized attachments made for skid-steer loaders.
Merlo dealer Applied Machinery Sales recently reminded owners of Merlo telehandlers that the adapter can expand the range of work the telehandlers can do, thereby meeting more needs on a job site and possibly reducing the amount of equipment required.
The adapter works on Merlo’s ZM2 and ZM3 carriages, which are currently used on all but one Merlo model.
Its top mounts over the top of the carriage and it bottom connects securely to the carriage bottom with pins. Mounting is easy and takes only minutes. The adaptor is only about 5” deep.
The skid-steer attachments lock onto the basic adaptor with manually operated lever locks.
With the hydraulic version of the adaptor, skid-steer attachments mount even more easily. They are locked in place hydraulically using the on-boom hydraulic system to operate power connectors.
