In early 2024, Skyjack announced the launch of its new micro-scissor line with the SJ3213 micro and SJ3219 micro. This new range represents a significant new choice in the low-level access arena.
The micro-scissor range remains simply reliable, combining low cost of ownership with Skyjack’s renowned product support. Fully proportional drive and lift controls offer superior drive with more efficiency, controllability and improved torque, while variable speed brushless AC electric front wheel drive provides exceptional duty cycles. With more than 25% gradeability, climbing loading ramps is easy and excellent all-round jobsite performance and maneuverability is achieved.
Features unique to Skyjack’s micro-line include:
With E-Drive, Skyjack’s focus on improving productivity and reducing lifetime maintenance expenditure improves the cost of ownership and gives users more in several key ways:
· More return on investment with maintenance free brushless AC Electric Drive motors.
· More runtime per charge with less power consumption and lower battery maintenance.
· More sustainability with zero leakage drive motors, for clean operation.
· More flexibility and utilization with low gross vehicle weight (GVW) and wide non-marking tires, providing low ground pressures and helping to protect finished flooring.
· More control with spring applied, electrically released brake.
· Tight steering angle provides excellent jobsite maneuverability.
· Fully proportional drive and lift controls.
· Minimal maintenance on wheel motors.
The newest micros have been designed to fit most passenger-style elevators and work in environments where space is at a premium, while still providing a substantial work area.
Key features of the latest micro-line include:
The micro-line has been updated with its own XStep – the micro XStep enables operators to gain additional work height in tight spaces, while maximizing productivity. Like the original XStep, the micro XStep was introduced to empower operators working in hard to reach places, such as piping, ceiling work and between HVAC units. The micro-version is also mounted on the mid-rail of the scissor lift and creates an additional 19 inches of working height. The top railing design and height provide operators with the same degree of security as a conventional platform. It has been designed to pair specifically with the new micro-line, offering 250 pounds of capacity.
