A Sneak Peek at The ARA Show 2025

Billed as the world’s largest equipment and event rental industry trade show, the annual gathering of the American Rental Association (ARA) brings together rental business owners, managers and their teams, suppliers and manufacturers, independent manufacturer representatives and service providers.

This year, The ARA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center will be held over a new midweek schedule that starts a day early with the return of the Future of Equipment Rental on Tuesday, Jan. 28. The full-day education and networking workshop will feature speakers and sessions focused on new technologies and emerging trends for rental businesses.

The ARA Show 2025 officially kicks off with a full day of education on Wednesday, Jan. 29 featuring sessions on a variety of topics for rental professionals. Throughout the day, 16 education sessions will be held in four tracks, including:

The Keynote Session at The ARA Show will be delivered by David Pogue on Thursday, Jan. 30. A technology expert and speaker, Pogue is the New York Times bestselling author of Pogue’s Basics, a series of essential tips and shortcuts, as well as several books in the For Dummies series and the Missing Manual series of computer books.

Pogue, who is well known for being at the forefront of new and emerging tech trends for decades, will inform attendees about the state of science and technology today, and how it’s shaping our future. 

Trade Show

From Thursday, Jan. 30 through Saturday, Feb 1, a three-day trade show will take place. Exhibitors will be on hand to make product introductions and display their latest innovations. The show also includes an outdoor exhibit area that provides space for equipment demonstrations and special attractions. 

Rental Hall of Fame

Each year, ARA honors individuals who have changed the trajectory of the equipment and event rental industry for their outstanding service. Inductees into the Rental Hall of Fame are recognized as outstanding leaders who have made a substantial and lasting impact on the industry’s success and growth at the national and/or international level.

This year’s inductees into the Rental Hall of Fame at The ARA Show 2025 include:

  • Bick Jones, Total Tent Solutions, Houston, Texas
  • Peter Lancken AM, Kennards Hire, Seven Hills, New South Wales, Australia
  • David Wilcox II, General Rental Center, Frankfort, Kentucky 

Other featured networking events held throughout The ARA Show 2025 include the ARA’s Industry Awards lunch, regional receptions, breakfast hosted by Women in Rental, ARA Young Professionals Cocktails & Contacts, plus The ARA Show opening reception.
