Altec LLC, Fort Wayne, Ind., will shut down operations in the fall because of current economic conditions, according to Harry Dinken, vice president of human resources for Altec.
In a notice sent to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Dinken stated that the company is relocating operations for logistical/consolidation reasons indefinitely. Staff reductions began earlier this month and will last through Oct. 31. The closure affects 64 employees.
The facility was previously under the name of Lift-All until Altec LLC purchased the aerial lift and digger derrick manufacturer in 2008. Altec LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Altec Inc., Birmingham, Ala.
