The organizers of the Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC) has announced that the organizations 2016 conference will take place from June 5-8 at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Va.
It will be the group's 63rd annual get together, and will once again feature a comprehensive educational program with presentations by industry experts, manufacturers, and fleet managers.
For the 2016 conference presenters will focus on Solutions for Managing a Progressive Fleet.
The EUFMC board of directors develops the annual conference general session topics based on input from attendees. In 2015, survey scores for general session presentations were the highest posted in the past six years.
Also highly popular are EUFMC roundtables, in which fleet executives address common challenges by sharing best practices and working with suppliers to find solutions. Discussion topics are determined by member surveys.
EUFMC attracts fleet executives from companies in the U.S., Canada and South America. In 2015, the conference set a new attendance record by bringing together 125 fleet representatives from 70 investor-owned electric utilities, electric cooperatives and electrical contractors, including 37 first-time attendees.
The EUFMC drive-through utility equipment demonstration features more than 60 educational and technical presentations by suppliers detailing the design features, specifications, capabilities and benefits of their latest technologies for electric utilities.
The conference equipment show is the site of over 60 displays. In 2015, more than 300 representatives from 100 manufacturers and service providers attended the event.
