Members of the Florida Crane Owners’ Council (FCOC) have unanimously approved a scholarship, grant, and crane operator training and certification program for Florida-based employees of its crane and associate member companies.
The new program consists of two scholarships for a four-year degree program, two grants for a full-time, two-year degree or certificate program at community college or vocational/technical institution, and two crane operator training and certification programs donated by the Crane Institute of America and Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau (CICB), both FCOC member companies based in Orlando, Fla.
The scholarship and grant programs will be administered by an outside organization specializing in scholarship and grant programs. Operator training programs will be administered internally by the FCOC scholarship committee.
