Hirschmann Mobile Machine Control Solutions, Chambersburg, Pa., has provided eight compact LMIs for aerial work platforms manufactured by Elliott Equipment Co., Omaha, Neb. Hirschmann has installed eight graphic consoles with integrated LMI controls (iVISOR mentor QVGA) on two different Elliott AWP models. Designed for mobile cranes, the Hirschmann compact LMI provides a graphical display of the crane, its load, and its geometry. The display shows the actual and allowable loads, boom length, boom angle, and load radius, as well as an integrated bar graph that tells the operator about the crane’s utilization.
Seven of the systems have been installed on Elliott L140 HiReach platforms and one on an Elliott L115 HiReach. Hirschmann’s iSENS HES-W1 easy-to-install wireless anti-two-block switch is also being installed. The L115 HiReach and the L140 HiReach have boom lengths between 102 and 125 feet and can lift up to 14,000 pounds.
