Navman Wireless, Glenview, Ill., was named one of 10 winners of the 2011 Chicago Innovation Awards for its Qtanium 300 GPS Construction Fleet Tracking System. The Qtanium 300 is a universal construction fleet tracking system that enables users to monitor actual equipment usage and associated costs for all makes and models of construction equipment from a single application.
The Qtanium 300 offers combined on- and off-road vehicle tracking capability, gathering data from the outdoor-proofed Qtanium 300 GPS tracking unit as well as sensors connected to machine attachments. The data is transmitted to the company’s back-end software, which displays the real-time location of all vehicles in the fleet on one screen and generates in-depth vehicle usage reports for analysis.
The Chicago Innovation Awards program recognizes innovative new products and services introduced by Chicago-area companies. The 2011 winners were selected from more than 400 nominees and announced at Chicago's Harris Theater on November 8. All 10 honorees will jointly ring the opening bell of the NASDAQ stock market in New York City on November 15 through an opportunity provided by TechAmerica, an awards sponsor.
