Ramsey Industries, Tulsa, Okla., parent of Ramsey Winch Co. and Auto Crane Co., filed for bankruptcy protection last week, according to a Tulsa World report.
The article stated that the company, a winch and crane maker, is trying to reorganize under bankruptcy protection, with company officials saying they hope layoffs will not be necessary. The filing listed more than $100 million in debts.
The CEO attributed the filing to the company’s January 2009 purchase of Eskridge Inc., Olathe, Kan., a maker of planetary gear drives.
