The Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) has appointed Ted Beville as its new executive director.
Beville has more than 36 years of experience in the scaffold and access industry and is currently president of Beville Access Construction, which provides scaffold and access erection, dismantling, designing, training, and safety services to the construction industry. Previously, Beville worked for Safway Services LLC for more than 26 years, where his positions included director of safety and training, general manager, branch manager, and motorized products safety manager.
"We are very excited that Ted has been chosen as the executive director of SAIA," said Paula Manning, SAIA president. "He brings the industry experience plus the knowledge of SAIA that will assure us of continued success and growth."
Beville has been a member of SAIA for 20 years, and has served as co-chair for the Construction Hoist Council. He has also served as vice president of the executive committee for three years. In 2012, he received the SAIA "Unsung Hero" award and in 2014, the "Outstanding Service Award."
Beville is also a member of several ANSI committees: A92.9 Mast Climbing Work Platform, A92.10 Transport Platform, A10.4 Personnel Hoist, A10.5 Material Hoist, A10.8 Scaffold, and A11 Scaffold Testing. Beville attended the University of Florida and resides in Lenexa, Kan.
