Terex Port Equipment, Lentigione, Italy, recently delivered the 100th Terex reach stacker produced in its Lentigione plant since the company’s July, 2009, acquisition of the Fantuzzi group businesses. In Lentigione, Terex manufactures part of its reach stacker range and forklift models. “The delivery of our 100th reach stacker is an important event,” explained Carlo Forini, general manager, Terex port equipment. “We’ve been working over the past months to bring production levels up to meet market demands, as well as making significant improvements to our customer service capabilities.”
Forini said with the expertise transferred from Terex, the new port equipment management team was able to rapidly improve the availability of spare parts, which allowed the team to triple spare parts sales “within no time. It's been a big cultural change, but we’ve rapidly become more versatile and international in the way we approach things. Customer feedback is positive, so it’s no surprise that this 100th reach stacker was sent to an overseas customer.”
Terex’s port equipment team focuses on achieving efficient, flexible, competitive results through cost-effective production cycles and responsive spare parts and services.
