Cattron to Launch Remote Crane Monitoring System at ProMat

Remote control manufacturer Cattron Group International, Sharpsville, Pa., will introduce its newest service offering, CattronConnect, at ProMat 2009. CattronConnect provides improved safety and increased reliability for overhead crane and industrial locomotive operations. It supplies remote monitoring of crane health, real-time data logging, and alarm notifications through constant monitoring of critical components.

The CattronConnect system provides users with access to their own customized, secure website and email alert notification of pre-defined faults and failures. Customizable web-based reports are available for productivity, speed violations, RF communication losses, or other user-defined items. The company says that regardless of location, the expandable and scalable CattronConnect system furnishes total remote monitoring of the crane or locomotive from a single source and is supported by Cattron’s 24/7 Help Desk.

Additionally, Cattron will exhibit the new LRC-M1 at ProMat, a medium-sized joystick controller for cranes, lifting equipment, and machines used in demanding industrial environments. It features advanced dual-processor electronics that are protected in an ergonomic and highly durable housing.

As part of the company’s new CattronControl product series, which share a common technical platform for electronics, RF modules, software, compatibility, maintenance, and flexibility, the LRC-M1 uses the company’s external TransKey configuration and meets all approvals and frequency requirements for use in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
