Coastline Equipment Crane DivisionSacramento, Calif., is the newest addition to the Shuttlelift dealer network.
In addition to its Sacramento location, Coastline Equipment Crane Division operates a branch in Santa Ana, Calif. Both locations sell and support a range of the Shuttlelift carry-deck cranes.
Coastline has launched the partnership with the purchase of 10 Shuttlelift cranes: Five 9-ton-capacity CD3339s and five 15-ton CD5515-2s. The cranes are for sale or rent at both locations.
Jim Chavalas, sales manager for the company, said that customers have requested carry-deck cranes for a wide range of applications, including those in the petrochemical, refinery, power plant, industrial and marine sectors.
“We did extensive research into carry-deck industrial cranes and the Shuttlelift line stood out in terms of both its quality and support from Manitowoc Crane Care service,” Chavalas said. “We have a lot of Grove YardBoss cranes in our inventory, which are similar cranes in the Manitowoc portfolio, and we’ve seen how well-made those are and how well they perform. It was a natural choice for us to go with Shuttlelift.”
The 9-ton-capacity CD3339 features a 32-ft. boom, single-stage outriggers, and ergonomic controls. With multiple steering modes and a 7-ton deck capacity, the crane offers easy maneuverability in tight spaces.
The CD5515-2 has a three-section, 41-ft. boom or an optional four-section, full-power 50-ft. boom. One of Shuttlelift’s newest cranes, it has an optimized mast design, exclusive pivoting boom nose on the 50-ft. boom, and an all-new cab design with hydraulic proportional controls and a hard-wired graphical capacity indicator. Its 10-ton deck capacity and three steering modes give it maximum maneuverability.
Mike Heinrich, director of sales for industrial cranes and national accounts at Manitowoc, said the CD5515-2 and the CD3339 hit the “sweet spot” for rental companies such as Coastline CD.
“Rental outlets are really finding the CD5515-2 and CD3339 to be dynamic tools in their fleets,” he said. “Customers are driving demand for rental cranes in the 9- to 25-ton range. These two carry-deck crane falls squarely in the middle.”
