The 62nd annual Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC) will be held May 31-June 3, 2015, at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Va.
The EUFMC attracts fleet executives from more than 60 companies in the U.S., Canada, and South America.
The conference features a comprehensive educational program with presentations by industry experts, manufacturers, and fleets. Presenters at the 2015 conference will focus on Fleet Strategies to Maximize Total Company Performance.
The EUFMC board of directors uses surveys and attendee input to develop the annual conference general session topics. The organization's current officers and directors have 186 total years of fleet and management experience. Today, they manage nearly 40,000 vehicles and pieces of electric utility equipment that are maintained by over 780 technicians in more than 175 shops across North America.
In addition to the educational sessions, the conference includes a drive-through utility equipment demonstration, an equipment exhibit with more than 60 displays, and ample opportunity for attendees to network and exchange ideas.
The 2014 EUFMC set a new attendance record by bringing together 109 fleet representatives from investor-owned electric utilities, electric cooperatives, and electrical contractors. They included 32 first-time fleet attendees, a growing number of Canadian utility fleet executives, and a representative of Brazil's Energisa Soluções. The conference also attracted more than 250 representatives from over 100 manufacturers and service providers.
“Growing interest in the Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference among utility fleet professionals shows the value EUFMC’s comprehensive educational program offers by addressing the challenges they face in their organizations," said EUFMC President Jack Abraham, who is also fleet manager for Nova Scotia Power.
