Elliott Equipment Company and Western Star Trucks Inc. have partnered to develop a rugged aerial lift by pairing Western Star’s 4900XD severe-duty truck chassis to Elliott’s H90 HiReach aerial work platform. The new combination will be unveiled at the EUFMC show in June and will address the demand among mining and utility clients for application-designed solutions for off-road and harsh climate work.
Western Star Trucks developed the 4900XD truck model with off-road applications in mind. It features a sturdy, custom-drilled 4.5 million RBM steel frame chassis, galvannealed steel cab and aluminum fenders, and multiple severe-duty features for job sites from mining to construction. The 4900XD truck provides critical protection and long-term durability, even in the most adverse job conditions. The 4900XD can be equipped with a Detroit DD15, DD16 or DDC 60 Tier 3 engine, each easily accessible through the truck’s three-piece butterfly hood.
Elliott’s H90F HiReach features a four-section telescopic, non-insulated boom with a 95-ft. working height and 81 ft. of side reach. It includes a 26-ft. steel flatbed, 40”x60” steel work platform, 1,000-lb. jib winch, 14,000 lb. main winch, and a lifetime structural warranty. It includes Elliott’s "Office in the Sky" solutions, including 110V electrical, welder leads, hydraulic accessory lines, and a 3/8-in. air line from the bed to the basket, with a welder/generator and air compressor on the bed.
