Philip McCluskey, system product manager for Caterpillar Inc., and Bob Mortensen, chief operating officer for HUSCO International, have been named co-chairs of the 2017 IFPE exposition. They will lead the triennial show's management committee. The IFPE is by volunteer business executives from the fluid-power industry to ensure the greatest value for attendees, exhibitors, and all show participants.
The next IFPE will be held March 7-11, 2017, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show is the leading international exposition and technical conference dedicated to the integration of fluid power with other technologies for power transmission and motion control.
IFPE is co-located with the construction industry's triennial CONEXPO-CON/AGG exposition. The 2014 IFPE and CONEXPO-CON/AGG, held this past March, saw record exhibit and education numbers and nearly 130,000 registered attendees, with 24% coming from outside of the United States.
McCluskey and Mortensen served as vice chairs of the 2014 IFPE managing committee.
“As an equipment manufacturer and show committee member, I can tell you IFPE understands the business needs of attendees. IFPE 2014 was one of the best ever and in 2017, IFPE attendees will find even more expert knowledge and product solutions for their companies,” said McCluskey.
“In our industry, strong collaboration between suppliers and OEM’s is key to meeting the needs of the 'end user.' IFPE 2017 provides an outstanding venue for efficient, focused collaboration, allowing suppliers to promote product capabilities to OEMs,” said Mortensen.
