Mobile crane bare-rental specialist Hovago Cranes has appointed two new members to the company’s management team.
Long-time employee Marcel Riemslag has been promoted to general manager. In his new role, Riemslag focuses on further developing Hovago’s strategy, and on leading the company’s management team, and the business as a whole.
Riemslag has worked at Hovago as sales manager since 2000. Before that, he built a successful track record in the mobile-crane and lifting industry, holding sales engineering and sales management roles at Manitowoc Europe.
Robert Hermans joins the company as international sales manager. Hermans' appointment will enable Hovago to better serve its customers and further professionalize its global business.
Before joining Hovago, Hermans held international commercial management and senior management roles in the automotive industry, commercial vehicle industry, and forklift trading. He is a graduate of Delft University of Technology.
Hovago Cranes, part of the ProDelta Group, specializes in the international hire (bare rental) of mobile cranes to the global crane and lifting industry.
Established in 1946, Hovago has more than 70 years of experience and holds a respected position in the industry.
The Hovago fleet consists of all-terrain, rough terrain and crawler cranes from 80T to over 1200T, and totals about 200 cranes. To help customers better withstand the swings in the global economy, Hovago has an attractive rental purchase option (RPO) that offers customers the benefits of ownership without requiring the commitment of an up-front purchase.
The average age of machines in the Hovago rental fleet is maintained at 2 -3 years by regularly purchasing new cranes from manufacturers such as Liebherr, Terex-Demag, Grove and Tadano and selling the used cranes through its trading division.
