Lift-A-Loft Develops Truck-Mounted Scissor Lift

Lift-A-Loft Corp., Muncie, Ind., has developed a self-contained scissor lift that can be easily mounted or removed from the bed of a pickup truck. The TL22 was developed for lift users who do not need to trailer and haul a separate lift to the jobsite. If a pickup truck can be positioned directly at the work location, then the TL can be used to quickly and efficiently do the job. Applications for the TL may include bridge and tunnel repair and inspection, commercial sign work, construction, facilities maintenance, film work, holiday decorating, home repair, hunting, painting, parking lot and street light work, security, traffic signal maintenance, and tree trimming.

“After a simple installation kit is installed, the TL22 can be placed in the bed of the truck to do a specific job," said Lift-A-Loft CEO William Fulton. "When the truck bed is needed for other jobs, the lift can be removed and stored in just minutes. One truck can be used to change lights in the morning and haul cargo in the afternoon.”

The TL22 can be mounted in any pickup truck that offers 2,650 pounds of payload with an 8-foot long bed. It features a self-contained power pack that automatically re-charges from the trucks electrical system, saving fuel and the environment. The unit meets the requirements of ANSI A92.2 and does not require outriggers.

Offering 500 pounds of platform capacity, the TL22 provides 21'10" of platform height when mounted on a 32-inch truck bed. The unit also comes standard with a 36-inch rear extenda-deck that adds to its versatility.

“Preliminary field tests and demonstrations have gone well,” says Lift-A-Loft Sales Manager Doug Jeurissen.  “This is a simple inexpensive product that definitely fills a need in the marketplace”
