In construction news, Manitex International Inc. has elected Fred Knox director of its board of directors; Knox's position became effective Sept. 12. He will become an independent member of the board and will serve on the audit and compensation committees.
Knox is a five decade veteran of the industrial and manufacturing industries. He currently serves as vice president of Mercer Company/Scholz. He is among the original founders of Pennsylvania-based, Mercer. Prior to Mercer/Scholz, he was with Warren Scrap, Whittaker Corp, Rainbow Metals, and Blaw Knox Corporation. He has his Bachelor of Sciences in Metallurgical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
