Kar-Tech, Delafield, Wis., has introduced a new mega radio transmitter. This rugged 6.1”x3.1”x1.3” hand-held enclosure is made of glass-filled nylon with a rubber boot to increase grip. Its unique board design allows up to 24 outputs, momentary or latching, and an array of button configurations. An LCD display can also be incorporated, and with standard two-way communication, the operator could view machine vitals, steering angles, load moment indicators, battery level, and error codes. It works on a standard radio platform of 900 MHz frequency hopping spread spectrum and allows 1,000 feet of operating range.
