Palmer Johnson Power Systems Dallas (Arlington), Texas branch has been re-located into a 30,000 sq.ft. sales and service center. The new facility includes over 25,000 sq. ft. of service and shop space, a dedicated training room for on-site service training, a 400 hp electric dyno test stand and four crane rail systems with lifting capacities up to 5 tons.
The upgrade to the larger facility allowed for expansion in both service capabilities and sales staff. Provided by Power Test Incorporated, the custom dynamometer test stand has a maximum torque of 1,200 lb/ft at 1,750 rpm and a maximum output speed of 4,000 rpm (bi-directional). The testing procedures produce precise shift point definition and help identify clutch slippage and provide a digital record of critical temperature, pressure, flow and torque measurements under loaded conditions.
Dan Ramirez, a recent graduate of Texas A&M University with a mechanical engineering degree and previous experience as a mechanic, has accepted a sales engineer position for Palmer Johnson. Ramirez’ main focus will be geared towards application support.
