Palmer Johnson Opens New RECON Facility

Palmer Johnson Power Systems announced the grand opening of their second facility in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, the 20,000-sq.-ft. RECON equipment center, which will be dedicated to equipment services, reconditioning, modernization, re-powers, and service and repairs.

To celebrate the grand opening of the service center, the mayor of Sun Prairie, Paul Esser, joined Palmer Johnson for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“Today is important,” Esser says. “You’ve got a strong growing business, you have good jobs with good pay, and good employees. You do a lot to give back to the community, and those are all the things we like to see happening in our business park. So, for me today to be here as the mayor, I’m proud to be here, to salute all of you for what you are doing with this great company.”

The new building gives Palmer Johnson the capacity and tools they need to service their customers and their large scale projects. The facility was built to provide the framework in which the company aims to beat control costs, quality, and turnaround time. They’re able to service telehandlers, boom lifts, cranes, scissor lifts, forklifts, utility vehicles, and more!

"Palmer Johnson believes that equipment modernization presents the off-highway industry with a unique environmental sustainability offering,” says Craig Parsons, president of Palmer Johnson. “We're excited to be a leader in this conversation. Equipment reconditioning presents the option – rather than disposing of older equipment and tens of thousands of pounds of iron go to the scrapyard – to choose to recondition and modernize with PJ. Our enhanced fabrication and engineering offerings will help bring new technologies to market in existing equipment!"
