Scott‐Macon Equipment Company, Houston, TX has ordered two telescopic-boom crawler cranes from Tadano Mantis.
They are a 130-ton-capacity GTC‐1200 and a 77-ton 15010.
The two new units supplement several Tadano Mantis cranes already in Scott‐Macon’s fleet.
Commenting on the purchase, Alexander Scott said, “We are seeing increased applications for tele‐boom crawlers, and we are excited to add these two units to our inventory of equipment available to meet the needs of our customers."
Scott said that Scott-Macon is particularly pleased to add the innovative GTC‐1200, which is the company's first purchase of a tele‐boom crawler in the 130 ton class.
The Tadano Mantis GTC‐1200 has a 155-ft. boom and a standard 59.1-ft. bi‐fold jib.
Lifting charts are available for up to 4° of slope, and the 1.5° “level” ground charts provide the crane with real world lifting capacity superior to any other in this size class.
The 15010 has a 111.5-ft. boom and 50-ft. bi‐fold jib, as well as preparation for a boom-mounted hydraulic auger.
Both cranes can pick and carry any capacity on the load chart and are well suited for both lifting and foundation applications.
