Talbert Manufacturing has hired Rick Myers as its director of materials. Myers oversees deliveries, material purchases, warranty fulfillment and aftermarket parts. He also is responsible for budgets, employee training, and planning in those areas.
“Rick’s operational expertise and industry knowledge make him a great asset to the team,” said Andy Tanner, Talbert president. “He brings real value to our company with his leadership skills and experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc.”
Myers earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind. During 28 years in operations management, he has held a range of leadership positions in areas such as purchasing, production and inventory control. Most recently, he was the operations and purchasing manager at Jost International, a global manufacturer of fifth wheels, landing gears, kingpins and other trucking-related products based in Grand Haven, Mich. At Jost, Myers was responsible for all operations, purchasing, logistics and budgeting functions, regulatory compliance, and ISO certification maintenance.
