The new Brickhouse rope lock from Thern Stage Equipment, Winona, Minn., is designed to minimize wear to both rope and rope lock for long lasting performance.
The rope lock uses a unique holding mechanism that bends the rope between rollers, instead of crimping the rope between jaws. This method eliminates heavy stress points that wear out the rope and the working components of the rope lock. By bending the rope, rather than crimping it, the rope and rope lock remain in better working condition for a longer period of time.
Thern’s rope lock is suitable for purchase line diameters of 5/8 inch to 1 inch. The mounting angles, studs, and bolt holes are manufactured for a 2¼-inch mounting system, however additional mounting formats are available to meet any specification.
Designed for secure operation, the unit locks when the handle is in the closed position and can be padlocked to prevent unauthorized use for additional security.
