TIER 4 Final Emissions Solutions Outlined in Rexroth Brochure

In 2014, Tier 4 Final Regulations will be in effect, and diesel systems will be required to operate generating emissions to be at 10 percent of Tier 3 levels for particulate matter (soot) and 50 percent of nitrous oxide (NOx) levels.

This significant reduction will force many mobile equipment manufacturers to fully redesign their systems, which can impact the function and performance of equipment such as backhoes, excavators, telehandlers and other systems.

• Increased operating and equipment costs -- If a piecemail approach is taken to redesign systems, component costs can escalate and operational performance suffers
