Waytek Inc., Chanhassen, Minn., has added a new Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) switch to their line of battery management products. The new LVD, manufactured by Sure Power Industries and distributed by Waytek, is a solid-state electronic module that protects batteries from excessive draw by limiting the drain due to auxiliary loads. The unit automatically disconnects loads that are powered when the ignition key is off, before the battery is discharged low enough to prevent a vehicle start.
