Xtreme Mfg. Tests New 5,900-lb. Capacity Telehandler | Construction News

Xtreme Manufacturing Inc., Las Vegas, Nev., is now testing the new XR5919 compact telehandler that it previewed at the ConExpo trade show in Las Vegas during March.

When officially introduced, the XR5919 will be the smallest telehandler in Xtreme’s product line.

But even though it will be the smallest, it carries the same signature rugged construction for which all Xtreme telehandlers are noted.

According to preliminary information, the XR5919 has a maximum capacity of 5,900 lbs. and can lift that weight to a height of about 12 ft.

The machine’s maximum lifting height is 19 ft., with a corresponding capacity of 4,400 lbs. Maximum forward reach is 11 ft., with 1,900 lbs. of capacity.

The XR5919’s compact dimensions include a 12’5” overall length from rear to fork face, an overall width of 5’11”, and an overall height of 6’4” with boom stowed. It is expected to weigh just 10,200 lbs., complete with 12.00 x 16.5 air-filled tires.

The 91-in. wheelbase allows an 11’0” turning radius, and the XR5919 offers 13 in. of ground clearance.

It is powered by a Perkins 63-hp. Tier 4 Interim diesel engine and is equipped with a 17-gal. fuel tank.

The hydraulic system pumps 18.5 gpm at up to 3,900 psi and has a 25-gal. tank.

The unit that was previewed at ConExpo and is now under test features an open operator’s cab.

Xtreme is currently putting the XR5919 through in-house testing, and plans to have models in the field during the fourth quarter of this year.
