From September 1 through October 31, The Crosby Group will donate $500 to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation for every Crosby training event it hosts in the US, with a goal of raising $25,000. In addition, Crosby will donate all proceeds from the popular User's Guide for Lifting online course to Fallen Patriots during September and October.
The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Approximately 25,000 children have lost an active duty parent in the military over the last 35 years. Of those, 97% of casualties are men, leaving behind single mothers to care for their families, and 60% report having trouble making ends meet. According to the foundation, $625 million is needed nationwide to cover the gap between government assistance and the actual cost of a degree. Since 2002, Fallen Patriots has provided more than $55 million in total assistance to more than 2,200 military children with more than 900 graduates.
Every time a worker in, the oil and gas, construction, wind energy, transportation, material handling, and manufacturing industries across the US participates in a Crosby Group training event or completes the User's Guide for Lifting online training course in September or October, they can know that they are playing a part to help secure a better future for children of Veterans who lost their lives.
