Fleetio has expanded its integration with Ford Pro, enhancing data connectivity for fleets using Ford modem-equipped vehicles and plug-in devices.
This marks Fleetio’s first embedded integration with an original equipment manufacturer, providing more robust data flow for all Ford Pro Telematics subscribers.
The updated integration is built on the original setup, which synced odometer readings and fault codes.
New features include diagnostic trouble code alerts, vehicle location tracking and fuel vendor alerts — helping fleet managers make informed maintenance decisions, optimize routes and monitor fuel costs.
Now, Ford Pro Telematics subscribers can link their accounts directly to the Fleetio platform, receiving vital maintenance data automatically.
"The Fleetio and Ford Pro Telematics integration is a significant win for fleet managers,” Jake Martino, vice president of partnerships at Fleetio said.
“By centralizing critical telematics and fleet health data within Fleetio, our mutual customers are better positioned to improve uptime and extend the life of fleet assets.”
By pairing Ford Pro Telematics data directly with Fleetio's platform, users can proactively monitor vehicle utilization trends, create accurate vehicle replacement programs and ensure preventive maintenance compliance is achieved across the entire fleet.
“We are excited to be the first OEM with embedded integration capabilities with Fleetio, allowing fleet customers to utilize their telematics data within the Fleetio platform without having to invest in an electronic plug-in device,” John McEachern, director, fleet management software & services at Ford Pro.
The expansion supports Ford Pro’s vision for seamless fleet management, following the recent launch of its own Fleet Management Software powered by Fleetio, offering comprehensive maintenance solutions for modern fleets.
