Haulotte has launched two new electrically powered rough-terrain scissor lifts.
Named the HS4390 E and HS5390 E in North America, the all-terrain scissor lifts integrate unique features and widen the range of applications for electric scissors. The HS 4390 E has a maximum platform height of 43’. The HS 5390 E can reach a platform height of 53’.
Their fully electric architecture delivers the same drive performance as a diesel-powered lift without any exhaust.
Perfectly suited to work in even the most rugged terrain, the HS4390 E and HS5390 E easily travel over obstacles and climb slopes up to 45%. The oscillating axle matches the position of the front wheels to the uneven terrain to maintain optimal ground traction.
The 4-wheel drive delivers maximum torque and ensures excellent power distribution. In low grip situations, the manual differential wheel lock provides extra traction to get the machine in and out of challenging terrain.
The new PULSEO mobile elevating work platforms can be set up on slopes up to 5° with outriggers to guarantee safe elevation on uneven ground. High ground clearance protects machine components in any terrain.
Large Platform Capacity
The lifts’ 1,650-lb. platform capacity, including up to four people, boosts productivity in the most demanding applications, such as cladding, insulation, and maintenance work.
With both extensions deployed the large platform measures 19’ long for plenty of working space. On level terrain, either lift can travel with the platform elevated. The HS4390 can travel with the platform at its full 43’ height. The HS5390 E can travel with the platform elevated to 42’8”.
Proportional commands ensure precise control and smooth operation, and the controls’ ergonomic design make driving comfortable.
One key feature is the ultra-high performance Haulotte Activ’Lighting System with 10 LED spotlights providing ideal illumination of the basket, controls, and the area around the machine.
Another is the Haulotte Activ’Shield Bar system that protects the driver from entrapment. The machine stops automatically as the operator is pushed towards the bar.
Both models are available with non-marking tires, so they can also be used indoors on sensitive surfaces without leaving a trace, and both operate at less than 60 dB in electric mode.
Optimized Energy Management
PULSEO scissors are designed to maximize battery life and optimize power usage. The 48V battery pack delivers the range necessary for a full day of work, and three charging solutions adapt to onsite infrastructure.
The primary charger recharges the batteries at the end of the shift from any standard 110-230V single-phase electrical network. An optional three-phase accelerated charger ensures an 80% charge in only 3 hours. And an optional removable and interchangeable range extender can rapidly recharge the batteries while the machine remains fully operational. One range extender can be moved from machine to machine as needed.
The Haulotte Activ’Energy Management system features a tailored charging curve, built-in maintenance care programs, and preventive maintenance notifications to significantly optimize the performance and lifespan of the battery. Also, centralized watering solutions simplify daily maintenance.
