Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. has announced its commitment to meet the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act’s domestic manufacturing requirements for its Hyster and Yale forklift trucks and container handling equipment. The company will expand its U.S. manufacturing to include high-capacity electric models designed for federally funded infrastructure projects. This move aligns with BABA’s goal of prioritizing American-made materials in such projects.

The BABA Act aims to boost U.S. manufacturing by requiring federally funded infrastructure projects to use American-made materials. Hyster-Yale operates 10 U.S. locations, including three manufacturing facilities, and has a long history of innovation in material handling equipment.
