Oshkosh Corporation Appoints Bill Burns to Board of Directors

Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), the parent company of JLG and a leader in purpose-built vehicles and equipment, has announced the appointment of William (Bill) Burns, CEO of Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), to its board of directors. With this appointment, Oshkosh's board now comprises 11 members.

Burns, 57, brings over 30 years of experience in the technology sector. Since joining Zebra Technologies in 2015, he has held various senior positions, culminating in his role as CEO in 2023. He has also led Embrane, Inc. and Spirent Communications plc.

“We are pleased to welcome Bill, a growth-minded leader, to our board of directors,” said Stephen D. Newlin, chairman of the board of Oshkosh. “He is a proven chief executive and will bring additional technology and innovation perspectives to our board that support our strategic priorities of Innovate.”

Burns holds an MBA from Temple University, a B.S. in business administration from Misericordia University, and an associate degree in engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He currently serves as a director for Zebra Technologies and has previously been a director for Spirent Communications and Embrane.

Recently, the Washington Post named JLG one of the top workplaces in D.C.
