Pettibone Launches High-Capacity Extendo 1536X Telehandler With Pipe and Pole Baler Attachment

Pettibone has expanded its X-Series lineup with the introduction of the Extendo 1536X telehandler, designed for heavy-duty material handling in construction, oil and gas and utility industries.

This robust telehandler offers a unique pipe and pole baler attachment — ideal for stockyards and job sites where moving large pipes and poles is a necessity.

The Extendo 1536X telehandler is equipped with a powerful two-section boom made of formed boom plates for increased strength and reduced weight.

This design allows a maximum load capacity of 16,000 pounds with standard fork frames and up to 13,000 pounds at a 36-foot lift height. When using the baler attachment, the telehandler supports up to 14,700 pounds, offering versatility for handling oversized materials.

Powered by a 120-horsepower Deutz TCD 3.6 Tier 4 Final diesel engine, the 1536X provides both performance and easy maintenance, with its side-mounted pod enabling convenient access to components and improved curbside visibility.

The machine offers a ground clearance of 20 inches, a 30-gallon fuel tank, and comes with durable, foam-filled tires.

The 1536X’s advanced boom design minimizes deflection, improving control and reducing wear on components. A unique bottom-mounted extend cylinder and heavy-duty extension chains enhance stability, while fastener-less wear pads simplify maintenance.

Pettibone’s hydraulic circuit adds smoothness to the lifting and placement operations, with cylinder cushioning reducing wear and preventing load spills.

Optimized for rough terrain, the Extendo 1536X telehandler includes full-time 4-wheel drive, a limited-slip front-axle differential, and a Dana VDT12000 Powershift transmission with three speeds in both directions. A pintle hitch further adds to its versatility.

The cab is designed for operator comfort, with ergonomic controls, an optional 7-inch digital display with a backup camera, and climate control.

Additional features include all-steel fuel and hydraulic tanks, lockable storage, LED lighting options, and multiple attachment choices.

With the X-Command® telematics system providing real-time machine data for easier maintenance, the Extendo 1536X telehandler represents a reliable, high-capacity solution for challenging material-handling tasks across a range of industries.
