Genie Launches Six New Scissor Lifts Designed for Performance and Affordability

Genie has unveiled six new models of its next-generation slab scissor lifts, optimized for performance and a lower total cost of ownership. The redesigned GS-1932, GS-2632, GS-3232, GS-2646, GS-3246 and GS-4046 lifts feature an innovative curved linkage design that reduces weight and replacement costs for key components like batteries and drive motors.

"Genie's Next Generation Scissor Lifts are redefining the standard for slab scissor lifts and moving this classic MEWP category into the future," Christian Dube, senior global product manager said.

"Our priority when redesigning these lifts was to drive lower costs of ownership, improve serviceability and enhance the user experience – all while delivering the quality that our customers and the industry expect from Genie."

Genie prioritized serviceability and durability in the redesign, addressing common issues like rust, deck damage and chassis wear. Updates include water-resistant chassis, reinforced extension decks and strengthened side pockets. Additionally, the lifts now feature a consistent parts layout and over 70% parts commonality across models, simplifying fleet management and increasing uptime.

"On their own, each individual update  is an incremental improvement. But, when considered together as a system, and across the product line, the result is a family of machines that add value by reducing costs while improving performance and serviceability," Dube said.

Operators will also benefit from enhanced comfort and productivity features, such as larger platforms, reduced "flex" in extension decks and a lighter, modular Smart Link controller. Standard FLA and maintenance-free AGM batteries ensure regional compatability, with option lithium-ion and anti-theft Battery Guard available globally.
